Overheard a new client say to his wife as they left the office:
"Where's the pain. I thought this was going to be painful. Wow, that was easy!"; upon experiencing just how easy it is to create your own scanning project just the way you want it to come out.
“Genealogists and family historians take note: the PixSafe helped me with a giant archiving project. I have approximately 1,000 family photos from 1839 through the 1940s, some loose and some, unfortunately, glued and taped into old photo albums. I’ve divided the job into chunks of several hundred photos, or individual albums, and hired the PixSafe to scan the photos – a TIFF copy for archiving and a JPEG2000 copy for versatile use. I felt a bit guilty doing it – after all, couldn’t I really scan my photos if I just set aside the time? But when I got my first batch back, I knew I’d made the right call. Anne is an art photographer, and her understanding of the medium shows. She was able to bring back to life a number of photographs that were faded beyond recognition. The photos were saved on gold archival disks, and index sheets with thumbnail prints of all the photos and their file names were provided. I took the photos and loaded them up onto a photo website (the PixSafe can do this for you), wrote out my captions, and then put the photographs in buffered, acid-free envelopes in buffered, acid-free boxes. I know you can understand how good it feels to know that all those physical photographs are protected, and even if heaven forbid there’s a fire, I have off-site backup. Family members and other researchers can access the photos online. All of this was very time-consuming, but sharing the job with the PixSafe made it doable.”

"I was really impressed with the service we got from thepixsafe.com - we bought the Starter Package, which gave us 100 scans, a DVD movie of our pictures that we can watch on our TV, a gold disc with all of the pictures (which we put in our safe deposit box), our own website, and a really nice folder with sheets of thumbnail pictures, so we can see what is on the discs. My husband and I highly recommend this company."
